For anyone wanting to start SCUBA from scratch, it is always a good idea to undertake a Try Dive to see if it is definitely for you. It is £25 for a Try Dive. Please note that at present we do not undertake Try Dives for under 18’s, but if you contact us we’ll try to help you to find somewhere local that can.
We do give you a certificate when you complete the Try Dive. It’s not a qualification, but does prove to family and friends that you’ve experienced a Scuba Dive. However, as it’s in the swimming pool we can give you that important first “taster” introduction to SCUBA, but we are very sorry that we can’t point out any fish!
What some Try Divers have said: –
“Thank
you we really enjoyed our trial dive last night and everyone was very welcoming. I was nervous and can see the benefits of learning with a club rather than a short course.” – Tracey
“We all had a brilliant time Thursday, felt extremely welcomed and in good hands by everyone on our try dive.” – Tommy
“Thank you again for the try dive last week, it was certainly an enjoyable experience.” – Dean
If you do decide to take this further you will have to at least make a medical declaration. However, in some cases where you have to say “YES” on the declaration it won’t necessarily stop you from diving, but will mean that you will need to refer to a Diving Medical Referee.
