Formed in 1980 – under the name Bramston Sub Aqua Club – we’ve been based in the Leisure
Centres in Witham since then. So we’ve been around for over 45 years. We keep saying it because we are rightly pleased to have access to great facilities at the Witham Leisure Centre including: –
We’ve turned out very many good, competent scuba divers, and our members have dived all round the world. Somebody in the branch will have tales to tell about places that they have visited and dived. We do an appreciable amount of diving in the UK, which can be much better than you might anticipate. Members have varied interests in wreck diving, maritime history, conservation, wildlife and underwater photography/videography.
We also have social events such as BBQ’s; quiz nights; etc.

We are run by an elected Committee of seven (Chair; Vice Chair; Treasurer; Diving Officer; Secretary; Equipment Officer; and Social Secretary, augmented by an appointed Training Officer and a training team). Our Committee year runs October to October with an Annual General Meeting in the first two weeks of October.
Although we are now operating normally, it is always suggested that you contact us either using our club phone number (0759894208) or email address for more detail. Of course you can always have a good look around our website to find out more about us – or better still pop down to see us at the Leisure Centre on Thursday nights (our regular meeting night – start at 8.00pm, with pools from 9.00pm).
However, at the present time we are only able to offer training to anyone 18 years of age and over. This may change in the future.
If joining the branch, or renewing membership, there is a need to complete a medical questionnaire. Link: http://www.bsac.com/scubamedicalform.
It is important to read the section on medicals in the FAQ section of this website.
